Hi Friends! I have a quick and easy project to share with all of you today using your Scor-pal and some of the wonderful products from Heartfelt Creations.

I made a Notes Wood Wall Hanging....
Products used:
Scor-pal
Scor-Tape
Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters and Butterflies Pre-Cut Set
Spellbinders Les Papillions Die
Heartfelt Creations Clear Cardstock

I cut a strip of the clear card stock into a 6 x 2 1/2 " strip. I then placed it on my Scor-pal and made a score mark every 1/2"
Next I cut out the butterfly image I wanted to use with the clear card stock by using my Cuttlebug

I added some purple glitter glue to the edges of the butterfly and set it aside to dry

I distressed the edges of my card stock, inked them up and adhered them to the decorative piece of wood using some Scor-Tape

Next I used some Perfect Medium and some purple embossing powder to stamp and emboss the aster image
I then stamped my butterfly image by using a mix of Distress Markers in a few different colors

My butterfly die cut was still drying so I want ahead and adhered my score-marked clear card stock to the wood using the 1/" Scor-Tape

Once the butterfly was dry, I used more Scor-Tape to adhere it over the stamped image. I simply added some flat back pearls, trims/laces and some flowers to complete the project. I topped it off with some vintage lace.

This would be a great gift idea and you could tuck in a gift card or a sweet note for someone special.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and project today and that I was able to show you another way to create using the Scor-pal & Heartfelt Creations products.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting : )

The Journey Framed Wall Art

Hi Friends! I have a really cool project to share with all of you today. Using some leftover items from another project, a Dollar Tree (store) frame and some of the yummy 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon , I've created a beautiful (I think..lol) wall art piece for my craft room.

Here's a short video that shows you the frame up close along with the crinkle ribbons I used...

Here you can see that I've used some of the Antique White crinkle ribbon to hang my frame.
The background for my frame are some strips of paper bags I had leftover from another project. This is why I keep my scraps...you can always use them for another crafty project. I love this stamped sentiment from Tim Holtz.
Love love love how the beautiful Purple Passion crinkle ribbon accents the flower cluster and drapes off the bottom of the frame. The frame itself was a gold color. I simply painted & sanded it a bit to give it the distressed look.

Here's a closer look at the yummy crinkle ribbon....

I love how this project turned out & I can't wait to hang it on my craft room wall. You can use the 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon for so many crafty purposes on one single project which is one of the many reasons why I love it so much.

Don't forget to stop by the 3GJ Store and pick up some yummy crinkle ribbon!!

Happy Crafin : )

May Arts Nautical Craft Challenge

Hi Friends! Today I have a very personal project to share with all of you. I was lucky enough to be selected to participate in another one of the awesome May Arts Challenges. This time around the theme was A Nautical Craft Challenge. You can check out the post on the May Arts Blog HERE!

When I saw the theme I knew right away what I wanted to make, a shadow box featuring photos of my dad when he was in the Navy...a tribute if you will.

Here's a short video that shows you the shadow box up close, the May Arts Ribbons I used and I talk a little bit about what's in the box and what memory it holds : )

If you looked up the phrase "Daddy's Girl" in the dictionary you would see a photo of me. My dad absolutely spoiled and loved me like I was the only girl in the world. He isn't my biological dad BUT he raised me from birth as if I was his own. Sadly he lost his battle with Leukemia when I was 18 and I had just graduated from high school. Even though many years have passed since he left us, I miss him terribly and still think of him daily. This project is just my way of celebrating his life and acknowledging his service in the Navy.

Thank you for letting me share a small but huge piece of my family history with you.

Happy Craftin!!

Oh...I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of my new followers. I checked today and I have almost 10 more than I did from my last post...thanks so much : )

I first met Ashley almost 2 years ago when I applied to be on the ME4Y DT and she graciously asked me to be a part of her team. I mean this sincerely when I say that Ashley has to be one the most sweetest, honest, geniune and sincere crafters I've met online. She's always sharing what she knows with others and supports me in my crafty endeavors. I am thrilled that she asked me to be a part of her Blogoversary. It means so much to celebrate this milestone in her crafting journey. Thanks Ashley for being one of the first DT's to give me a shot..love ya girlie : )

Instead of having a theme for the hop, Ashley put together a bingo board full of some of her favorite crafty things and we were to choose at least 3 of them and create a project.

I chose a 3D Project, Polka Dots, and Pearls and made a sweet shabby chic turquoise themed tag.

Here's a quick video showing you the tag up close....

This was such a fun tag to create. I love all the layers, textures and embellishments on this. I've made this for a friend and I can't wait to send it off to her : )
